This project aims to both coordinate technical updates to OptimismFractal.com and facilitate a collaborative community-driven approach to creating educational resources on the site
The project is organized into two major components:
Improving the Web Design
Creating Educational Resources
Improve the Web Design
One of the main issues is that not currently optimized for mobile and the mobile UX is quite poor right now, so we’re reluctant to share it widely in places where people typically view the site on mobile (such as twitter and farcaster)
Updating the website is a key unlock that will enable us to execute a promotional strategy and invite many more people. This project is a very high priority and we’re aiming to complete it within the next month
This can probably be improved with some relatively basic CSS coding and thoughtful design. Dan is planning to ask Super.so (the website service provider) how to improve some of these issues, which might provide the solution but also might not
We’d greatly appreciate if anyone can help us improve the website, especially if you are experienced with website design. This will allow us to promote Optimism Fractal much more effectively
Create Educational Resources
This project aims to coordinate a collaborative community-driven creation of the website and various tasks are included for pages on the website.
One of the main issues with the site is that it is lacking lots of educational resources that can help people understand Optimism Fractal and attract contributors. The tasks below include resources that you can review to learn about this that we may want to curate in the resources and webpages.
The first step of creating these webpages is to create educational resources in the notion page. This involves reviewing and curating the most helpful parts of related resources that have been created over the past few years, as well as creating original material.
These pages can serve as an educational guide to anyone interested in learning about Optimism Fractal and the Respect Game. We’d greatly appreciate help from anyone who is interested in learning and/or creating these educational resources.
The Optimystics are planning to improve the website in Q2 of 2024. You can see this project with many more details and a related task here
We’ll make many exciting improvements but need help to make the best website possible. There is a lot of work that requires many contributors and we need to shift to a more collaborative community-driven approach to website development in the long-term
Feel free to do any of the tasks below or let us know if there’s any way that you’d like to get involved. We appreciate your help!
